Andrew is Chair of Profile Financial Services. He brings more than two decades of leadership in financial services technology, spanning start-up growth, product and technology, strategy, M&A and listed markets.
He began his career in actuarial consulting before co-founding Xplan Technology in 2001, building it into a leading financial advice software business. Xplan was acquired by ASX listed Iress in 2003, and Andrew went on to spend seven years leading the group's wealth management division, before he was appointed Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Iress in 2009 and led the company for 13 years until 2022.
During that period he set the group's strategy and product direction, drove organic growth, oversaw a substantial global acquisition program and expanded the business to operations in nine countries, establishing Iress as one of Australia's genuine technology export successes. In 2017 he was a finalist in EY Australia's Entrepreneur of the Year.
In 2017 Andrew initiated Iress' partnership with Talent Beyond Boundaries, and in 2019 Iress became the first company to hire a refugee directly through the organisation's skilled migration program. The partnership went on to support the hiring and relocation of skilled refugees and their families in Australia and the United Kingdom. Andrew is a strong advocate for the idea that solving a real business problem, in this case access to talent, can change lives at the same time.
Alongside his role at Profile, Andrew is a Director of Pathway Club and the Newington Foundation, serves as Honorary Treasurer and a Council member of Newington College, and leads the not-for-profit technology organisation Open Pathway Collective.
